מייסדי קיבוץ אשדות יעקב הגיעו לעמק הירדן בשנת 1924 בתחילה התיישבו בגשר הישנה (ג'יסר אל מג'מע) יותר מאוחר עברו לאדמות דלהמייה מקום בו שוכן הקיבוץ עד היום.
אליהו כהן ליוה בצילומיו את הקמתו של הקיבוץ, חיי יום-יום, חג ומועד והרבה יופי של נוף ונוף אנושי. מבחר מצילומיו מובא כאן באלבום בן שני חלקים.

A selection of photographs by Eliyahu Cohen, a founder of the Kibbutz.
The founders of Kibbutz Ashdot Yaakov arrived in the Jordan Valley in 1924, and settled initially at old Gesher (Jisr el-Mujamia) and only later moved to the lands of Delemiyeh, the Kibbutz's current location. Eliyahu Cohen was there to photograph the founding of the Kibbutz, its daily life, holidays and festivals, and many fine scenic landscapes and human endeavors. A selection of his photographs is presented here in a two-volume album.
